You can import slides and images to go with your audio recordings. The best way is to get a copy of the slides before recording, import them and record live into Audio Notetaker. You can also import slides afterwards; useful if you have used a digital recorder.

Recording live with Audio Notetaker using Imported Slides

1. If you don’t have a Project tab, open a new one with the '+' tab or Home Tab → New Project → Blank Project or App Menu → New.
2. Use the Import button to import your slides (or PDF) files. You will get one slide per section.
   
   
3. Follow the instructions in the Recording Live tutorial to start recording audio.
4. When the speaker moves onto a new slide, use the Section Button or Enter to move the audio into the next section.
   
   
5. When there are slides in the next section, your audio will be pushed in to the next section rather than creating a new one.
6. If you want to add a new section then click on the arrow below the Section Button and choose Insert Section Below - you can then use the Insert Section Button (or Enter) to continue recording in this new section.

Importing from a Digital Recorder and Importing Slides

1. If you don’t have a Project tab, open a new one with the '+' tab or Home Tab → New Project → Blank Project or App Menu → New.
2. Use the Import button to import your slides (or PDF) files. You will get one slide per section.
   
   
3. Import your audio:
   • If your recording is on a digital recorder:
     • Plug in your device and and use the Portable Device Manager to copy the file(s) to your computer.
     • After Copying, the file will be displayed in the All Audio Files tab. Select the file and choose Import Into.
   • If your recording is already on your computer: Use the Import button to import your audio file.
4. If you have added index marks to your recording then Audio Notetaker will break up the recording into sections and add the audio alongside each slide.
5. If you didn't use index marks then go through your audio and add sections manually; use the Section Button or press Enter.
6. If you need to re-align your slides to fit with your audio: You can delete individual images, move them by dragging and dropping or move entire sections up and down by clicking and dragging on the boundary line between the images.
7. If you need to re-align your audio: You can cut,copy, paste and delete individual or multiple chunks. You can move chunks simply by highlighting and then drag and drop them. And you can push your audio into the next section from the dropdown menu on the Section Button.
8. If you want to add a new section then click on the arrow below the Section Button and choose Insert Section Below or Above.
