Exporting

Audio Notetaker can export all or parts of your file in numerous ways.

If you are just looking to share your file with people who do not have Audio Notetaker installed then they can download our free trail and activate Viewer Mode without having to buy a licence; you can then send them the file itself.

Otherwise you can export all or parts of your file so that it can be opened and edited in other applications.

When you export audio, you can choose whether or not to export with changes to your playback settings applied (Noise Cancellation, Speed and Volume).

Audio Export

You can highlight chunks and choose  Export - Selected Audio . This creates a single track containing all the audio you selected. You can choose what format the file is saved as, from WMA, M4A, Opus or WAV (MP3 is available ONLY if the original audio was mp3 and you have conversion switched off).

You can export all of your audio as an album. We create a track for every section in your file and we add anything in the Image pane as the track artwork. The tracks are saved as a WMA file unless the original was MP3 or M4A and then they are saved as that type (providing they haven't been converted on import).

You can also  export directly to iTunes . Again we create an album with a track for every section in your file and add any images as the track artwork. With iTunes export we also add the contents of the Text and Reference Panes as lyrics allowing you to view your entire file.

Export Audio and Images as a Video

You can export your audio along with any images or slides in your Image Pane, as an mp4 or wmv video. This will allow you to review your recording on other devices.

If you have audio chunks selected then only the audio and images in those sections will be exported to your video.

When you choose Export Audio and Images as video you will be asked to select a resolution (video size) for the output. You can then choose where to save the file and the format (mp4 or wmv) that you require.

Video export can take several minutes to complete depending on the specification of your PC, the resolution chosen and the duration of your audio.

Export Text and Images

You can  export your Text, Reference and Image pane  contents separately from your audio.

Click on the export button and choose text and images. The selection box that appears allows you to choose which of the panes you want to export. We create an rtf file that can be opened in most word processing programs.

You can also copy the contents of the visible panes to your clipboard where they can be pasted into other applications in the usual way. On the text side bar there is 'Copy all text and images' - this will only copy the panes you have visible in your workspace.
