Reference Guide: 4.10 Typing In The Audio Pane

With the focus in the Audio Pane you can type without changing panes. Simply start typing and your text will go into the text pane. You return back to the audio pane when you hit Enter. The only exceptions are where the keys are Audio Pane Shortcuts such as number keys, Enter and Space.

Remember, your first character cannot be a number, space or Enter since these are audio pane shortcuts!

When you type your text is added to the Text Pane, in the section where the audio cursor is.

Pressing Enter moves focus back to the audio pane, or click on the flashing ENTER button at the top of the Text pane:

If you were to continue to type then what you type will appear on a new line in the Text Pane (unless the audio cursor has moved to a new section).

Unfortunately you cannot start a numbered list in this way, as typing a number in the Audio Pane will colour a chunk or section rather than adding a number to the Text Pane. You should start typing and then use the numbered list button on the Text Side Bar to create your list.
