Audio Notetaker has the ability to speak back to you any of your text in either the Text or Reference Panes and you can send this audio direct to the Audio Pane.
Position the cursor in the Text and select Speak from the Toolbar. Audio Notetaker will speak back the entire section text from the cursor position, or if you have text highlighted, just the highlighted text.
You can click Stop Speaking to stop playback.
Using the dropdown menu on the Speak button you can choose to Speak your entire document or send the audio to your Audio Pane.
Speech Settings
Audio Notetaker utilises Windows built in speech settings. Speech Settings opens the Windows Speech control panel; here you can select which voice to use and how fast it will read your text.
Change the voice by selecting a different one from the drop down box (see below for useful sites to download new voices). When you select a voice you will hear a preview. If you do not hear the preview then you may have selected a voice that only works with the software package that the voice was originally supplied with.
You can adjust the speed of the voice using the slider.
How can I get different voices?
Audio Notetaker does not come with text-to-speech voices. Instead we use voices already installed on your computer. Please note that Audio Notetaker is now a 64bit application, and can only support 64bit voices.
